MV Van Gough visits Islands - Mon 24 April
The cruise ship MV Van Gough visited the Islands today and is pictured anchored in ‘the roads’ dwarfing the two hills of Samson in the background.
The passengers were spending the day ashore on St. Mary’s and on Tresco, visiting the Abbey Gardens, part of a four day cruise which included tours of the Monet Water Gardens in France and the Eden Project, Cornwall.

The 15,402 tonne Dutch vessel is 512ft in length and carries 795 people including a crew of 250.
The luxury cruise liner boasts a cinema, show lounges, fitness centre, 5 bars, restaraunts, boutique, hair salon, medical centre, library, night club, sauna and swimming pool !.
